My Story

I started as a co-op Oct. 1997 at Steel of West Virginia. Little did I know that this small mill would open possibilities for me as it being one of the last cross country special shape mills in the US and having a structural mill. Huge thank you to Mr. Jody Johnson for hiring me, Mr. Gregory Roy for drilling perfection, Mr. Darry Peck for introducing me to roll pass design, Mr. Timmothy Jenkins for showing me how to make things happen, Mr. Joe Schweitzer for his encouragement, and Mr. Giles Gilley patience.

Not everyone has the opportunity to learn from the best in their perspective fields but I had that.  From designing guides based on predicting material elongation, programming, using block and CNC lathes, to laying out passes on vellum.  I owe all of my knowledge to these men and the men and women at that small mill in Huntington, WV
